NEA's Center for Social Justice has created a professional development program designed to help educators identify and correct explicit and implicit discrimination in their classrooms.
Student-centered, research-based, and educator-driven — there are numerous training opportunities and resources that have been developed to help educators across the country adjust their practice. This has been done to better serve students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds while promoting racial and social justice in their communities.
Only when every student can attend school in the full confidence of being welcomed as they are, will we have created education justice.
